Welcome to SASS, “Sauce and Shells”!

Our co-owner and head chef, Joe Perkins, had long hoped to combine his personal barbecue meat recipes and his love of shelled seafood from his years growing up in Maine. Now you can reap the benefit of his years of experience with both. We are thrilled to be able to offer these dishes in the wonderful setting of the Capital Square.

While this building was substantially reconstructed in 2004, providing the updated space you are sitting in, it retains the history of the remaining exposed brick wall of what was once the Parkway Theater.
